What are the dimensions of shipping containers?

Standard ISO shipping containers are 8ft wide, 8.5ft high and in lengths from 10ft to 45ft. Extra tall High Cube containers are 9.5ft high. See:

What sizes of containers do you offer?

We offer 20ft, 40ft, and 40ft High Cube shipping containers.

How heavy is a 40-foot container?

A 40ft Standard Container weighs 8,000 lbs. and a 40ft High Cube container weighs 8,775 lbs.

How heavy is a 20-foot container?

A 20ft Standard Container weighs 5,070 lbs.

What is the largest shipping container size?

There are 53′ High Cube Dry Containers. Due to the limited availability and complexity of managing delivery, we do not offer them for sale.

How thick is a shipping container wall?

Steel shipping/cargo containers walls are made from 14-gauge 0.075-inch corrugated sheet steel panels.

What is a container floorboard made from?

Typically, the floors are “5/4” pressure treated marine plywood and made from tropical timber such as Keruing, Apitong, or Bamboo.

What is a one trip shipping container?

A container is manufactured overseas, loaded with cargo, and shipped to the United States. Once it arrives and the cargo is unloaded, the container is sold. Since it has made one only trip, it’s called a one-trip container.

How much can fit in a 20ft shipping container?

You can comfortably fit the contents of a 3-4-bedroom house inside a 20ft container.

Are shipping containers durable?

Shipping containers are built to withstand the rough conditions of the open sea which make them hardy and durable.

How long can an intermodal container last?

The typical lifespan of a container that is in the shipping service is 10-12 years. Once a container is out of shipping service, used for storage or for alternative purposes it can easily last another 10+ years.

How much room is needed at delivery?

To have adequate space for container roll-off delivery the flatbed/tilt-bed truck needs 70′ in a straight line for a 20’ Container and 120’ in a straight line for a 40’ container. See:

Yes, we do sell refrigerated units, also called “reefers.”

How many roll-up doors can be added to a container?

For a 20-foot storage container 2 to 3 – for a 40-foot unit 3 to 4.
